The show will be a kick-off fundraiser for the theatre’s 2013-14 season. This is the original Greater Tuna, the first show in the Tuna series. Evening performances (8 p.m.) will be September 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14. Matinee performances (2:30 p.m.) will be September 8 and 15 — so purchase your tickets now!
Reserved seat tickets are $20 each, with special table seating available for an additional $10 each. The table seats include special snacks and beverages and will only be available for purchase by speaking to a live person in the box office.

Using changes of costume, voice, body language and expression, Gary and Allan play 20 different zany and colorful characters (men, women, children and animals) that inhabit Tuna -- Texas’ third smallest town.
Gosney plays Thurston Wheelis, Elmer Watkins, Bertha Bumiller, Yippy, Leonard Childers, Pearl Burras, R.R. Snavely, the Rev. Spikes, Sheriff Givens and Hank Bumiller.
Lueck plays Arles Struvie, Didi Snavely, Harold Dean Lattimer, Petey Fisk, Jody Bumiller, Stanley Bumiller, Charlene Bumiller, Chad Hartford, Phinas Blye and Vera Carp.
Gosney and Lueck originally performed Greater Tuna to sold-out audiences at TCT in April, 1986, and repeated their performance in September of that same year. They would be called on again in 2001 and 2009 to bring these characters back to life for enthusiatic audiences. The play was written (and originally directed and performed in Austin) by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard.
