"Dashing Through The Snow" Performs Through December 9

The second main-series show in the 2012-13 season, Dashing Through The Show, will be on-stage through December 9..

Evening performances (8 p.m.) are December 6, 7 and 8. Sunday matinee performance (2:30 p.m.) is December 9. Reserved seat tickets are $20 for adults and senior citizens and $10 for students and children. This will be the first main-series show where you will able to reserve seats and purchase tickets online 24/7 for a $1 per ticket convenience charge.

The play is a Jones-Hope-Wooten comedy. These are the same authors as The Dixie Swim Club and Dearly Beloved, both of which have previously been seen on the TCT stage and were audience favorites.

It's four days before Christmas in the tiny town of Tinsel, Texas, and a colorful parade of eccentric guests arrive at the Snowflake Inn and deck the halls with holiday hilarity!

Trina (Suzanne Wohleb), the harried yet upbeat inkeeper of this bed and breakfast, has more than she can handle coping with these nuttier-than-a-fruitcake lodgers.

Hoyt (Chris Wohleb) and his sister, Donna Jo (Debbie Cable Brown), make the mistake of trying to end a 30-year feud between their curmudgeonly aunts, Ennis (Regina Corley) and Della (Lori Honeycutt), with sidesplitting results.

Ainsley (Michael J. Fox) and Lenora (Regina Corley), self-involved actors from a lower-than-low-budget touring production of A Christmas Carol, descend on the Inn to fulfill a promise, leaving comedic chaos in their wake. Paulette (MJ Clark) is their stage manager.

Add to this Yuletide mayhem an ill-advised romantic rendezvous between Mrs. Claus (Jill B. Main) and one of Santa's elves (Darren Walker), a demanding guest (Terry McNiel) who refuses to leave, not to mention a tipsy housekeeper (Janice Wilson), and it's clear it will take more than a kiss under the mistletoe to keep Trina's spirits merry and bright.

But a spur of the moment Christmas Eve wedding that brings together the Futrelle sisters -- Honey Raye (Jill B. Main), Twink (Lori Honeycutt), Frankie (Jennifer Murphy) and Rhonda Lynn (Debbie Cable Brown) -- and their best friend, Raynerd (Darren Walker), takes a surprising and delightful turn that leads to a laugh-'til-your-sides-ache climax, changing all their lives forever.

You'll swear this family-friendly Christmas comedy is more fun than a joy ride in a one horse open sleigh!

Guest Director for Dashing Through the Snow will be Jenny MacMurdo Holcombe. Jenny received an MFA in directing from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC), and most recently finished her second year as Artistic Director of McLeod Summer Playhouse.

Directing credits include Seussical the Musical and The Sound of Music (at The Rose Theater in Omaha, Nebraska) and Steel Magnolias, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Wizard of Oz and Little Women the Musical (for McLeod Summer Playhouse in Carbondale, Illinois).

Other production staff members include Dustin Ozment, technical director; Janice Wilson, stage manager; Jacob Duncan, sound and Al Dobos and Sarah Munro, costumes.
