Next Auditions Sunday & Monday, Feb. 12 & 13

Audition for the next main-stage production at Temple Civic Theatre will be Sunday, February 12 and/or Monday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the theatre. The musical will be directed by Leon Perkins with Priscilla Santana as musical director.

Audition are open to the public. You do not have to be a theatre member to perform in a show. Be prepared to sing a song (32 bars or less) that best shows off your voice, wear comfortable clothes for a movement portion of the audition, and read from the script. You are welcome to bring a head shot, but that is not required.

Little Shop of Horrors is a horror comedy rock musical, by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman, about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. The musical is based on the low-budget 1960 film The Little Shop of Horrors. The music is in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown. Menken and Ashman also created songs for Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid.

Performance dates are March 31 - April 9, 2017.
