Longtime TCT Volunteer Ed Boyle

Longtime theatre volunteer Edward J. (Ed) Boyle passed away June 20. His service was Monday, June 27, 2016 at 9 a.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Ed worked on numerous shows, appearing onstage and working behind the scenes. Ed made his TCT debut as Rev. Hooker, Clyde, Norval, and Bud in Dearly Departed then returned as Boolie Wertham in Driving Miss Daisy. He also appeared as the Kralahome in The King and I, as Keller in She Loves Me, as John Barrymore in I Hate Hamlet, as Capt. George Brackett in South Pacific and as FDR in Annie.

Ed worked on numerous sets, including Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp, The Emperor’s New Clothes, G.I. Holiday Jukebox, The Dinner Party, Driving Miss Daisy and The Little Foxes. He was also the theatre's “go-to” guy for specialty props. For a time, he served as the theatre's Technical Director. He will be missed.
